Intel Management Engine Firmware Update and Utilities for HP Z420 Workstation This package contains the latest Intel Management Engine v7.1 firmware for the supported Workstation models and operating systems, as well as utilities for updating and checking status. This ME Flash Update SoftPaq contains utilities and images that can be used to update the Management Engine (ME) firmware to version 7.1.86.1221 on HP Z210, Z420, Z620 and Z820 Workstations. The 7.1 ME FW is provided for Z420, Z620, and Z820 users that continue to use Sandy Bridge CPUs and intend to stay on ME 7.x firmware. It also includes tools to report status and other information from the ME firmware. The AMT 7.1 ME firmware image is only intended for HP Z210, Z420, Z620 and Z820 Workstation configurations (For Z420, Z620, and Z820 systems with Ivy Bridge CPUs, the user must use ME 8.x Firmware). This Softpaq does NOT include a system BIOS image. However, it is recommended that the system BIOS be updated to the latest version before updating the ME firmware. To update a system with Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) to fully support the Microsoft Window operating system, several component updates are required. After updating the System BIOS, ME firmware, and operating system, install latest ME drivers. Three methods for updating the Management Engine (ME) firmware are included in this package, which include EFI, DOS, and Windows (32 and 64 bit).
