DVD Writer Compatibility Utility for HP DVD Writer dvd100i The utility program contained in this download allows the compatibility setting or "mode" of the DVD+RW disc to be changed. Changing the compatibility setting improves the likelihood of playback in some, but not all DVD players and DVD-ROM drives. Some DVD drives which previously read DVD+RW discs successfully with the default setting, may not recognize the disc with the alternative compatibility setting. Because of this, the compatibility utility should only be used if currently experiencing problems playing / reading DVD+RW discs.
